We always hope for a special year-end event at Waianae and 2019 did not disappoint! We started with our guests selecting from toiletries and household items. Then, plenty of fresh produce and groceries for our honored guests and hot dogs and good Christmas fellowship! Also, nice to have family from Texas help out! On to 2020!
Waianae community thankful and blessed!
November is Thanksgiving month and our event reflected that. More volunteers and more people coming to receive the food than ever before. Relationships are building and this is becoming a real Ohana for us!
Our Waianae Valley family is growing!
We now have more volunteers than ever as we serve the community surrounding Kaupuni Neighborhood Park. This month, we got 280 flats of fresh eggs from the Hawaii Foodbank truck. Two of our board members from Texas were here with us and got to meet the team which was an added blessing. God is moving in Waianae Valley!
What a community effort!
We are blessed! Our volunteer team, the ones who setup camp, unload the food, sort the food, and distribute the food to the community, these volunteers are from this very community in Waianae Valley! Yesterday, weather was cooperative and aside from a light mist of rain, it was clear skies the whole day as we gave fresh produce to needy families in this area, including 560 dozen fresh eggs! God is so faithful!
Faith comes by hearing!
A brief but powerful Word was shared by Pastor Regan before we distributed the food yesterday; faith comes by hearing the Word of God. We want all of our events to reflect Christ Himself, and this family of believers in Waianae Valley is quickly moving in that direction! There were plenty of volunteers, including new additions to the group, and God provided a nice variety of produce and dry goods from the Hawaii Foodbank. The weather was perfect and all were blessed! God is moving here in Waianae Valley and we are privileged and favored to be part of it!
Community loved the eggs!
The Hawaii Foodbank shipments differ from month to month, so our June First Friday event had an unexpected surprise for the Waianae Valley community; we got fresh eggs! 800 dozen eggs were delivered for us to distribute to the needy folks within the community. God is so good and faithful!
